Thank God for Harry Potter. No, I'm not reading the book. I don't read the Lord of the Rings stuff either. Fantasy of the fantstic sort just doesn't grip me. However, my husband and daughter are reading the new Harry Potter book in three and four hour bites, which give me three and four hour bites of pure solitude, which I refer to as Sabbath. I may do a little housework during their readathon this week, but mostly I'm just going to thank God for Harry Potter, an easy path to my Sabbaths, which I usually have to work hard to arrange.

Amen!
Of course, Judah isn't into Harry Potter (yet) nor does she has the attention span for anything that comes in three and four hour bites, but i can imagine someday she will.
i'm glad you've had (and are having) Sabbath time.
och! this one is tragic! very good but also, just a warning, the end is very sad so be prepared. i cried!
so glad they're reading it though, and also that that means you are getting solitude!
